SUBJECT: UPDATED LEARNING MODALITY AND WORK ARRANGEMENTS (APRIL – MAY 2026)
In line with government efforts to conserve energy with the recently declared State of National Energy Emergency and in support for our community in mitigating the impact of rising transportation costs, the University will implement the following adjustments with regard to our learning modalities and work arrangements for April to May 2026.
Modality of learning and Work arrangements for PWU personnel shall follow the prescribed schedule as outlined below. Personnel under the Maintenance and Facilities Unit, due to the nature of their work, shall continue to report onsite subject to the discretion of the VP for Administration.
Schedule of Classes and Remote Work Arrangements: The modality of instruction for our students and remote work arrangements for faculty and non-teaching personnel (NTP) for April and May 2026 are hereby amended as follows:

Important Dates to be announced:
- 3rd Term Graduate Studies Assembly
- Written Comprehensive Examination / Oral Integrative Examination (Face-to-Face)
Other guidelines:
- Midterms and final examinations shall still be conducted face-to-face.
- All laboratory, practicum, internship, and fieldwork classes shall remain face-to-face.
- Graduate Studies proposal and final defenses of thesis/dissertation have to be conducted onsite at PWU.
- Faculty (Full-time and Part-time) shall be allowed to teach remotely during Synchronous weeks
- Apart from the schedule above, JASMS Manila and Quezon City may release a separate memo for remote work arrangements during their summer break for students for their respective campuses.
All other provisions of SVPAA Memo No. 7 SY 2025-2026 which have not been amended by this memo, remain in full effect.
