General Overview<\/h3>\n

The Career and Placement Office (CPO) is envisioned to be the Central Networking Venue for Philippine Women\u2019s University Alumni \/ Graduating Students and Employers.<\/p>\n

The major purpose of the CPO is to assist in matching Graduates\u2019 skills and chosen careers to the workplace through continuous development\/enhancement of its designed
\nprograms to meet the demands of the career world.<\/p>\n

The Career and Placement Office is tasked to provide the following student-oriented services\/programs:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Career Information Program<\/strong>
    \nThe Career and Placement office will assists our graduates build
    \ntheir careers by providing them up to date information about job openings, career information and continuous education programs.<\/li>\n
  2. Career Symposium Program<\/strong>
    \nCareer Symposium aims to provide the graduating students with the awareness of
    \npresent career opportunities available to them and allows them to have insights from the resource\/guests speakers about career
    \nplanning, career development\/career mapping.<\/li>\n
  3. Job Fair Program<\/strong>
    \nCompanies representing various industries will be invited to participate in an
    \ninteractive meeting with the PWU students and graduates for the job application, selection and recruitment.Through job fairs, the students will have the chance to meet face to face with prospective employers. This will also help them
    \ndecide and choose from wide variety of companies from different fields to take part in their work force. This will enhance the
    \nstudents\u2019 skills in resume writing and answering interview questions.<\/li>\n
  4. Linkages Program<\/strong>
    \nThe Career and placement Office (CPO) will establish linkages with different
    \ncompanies to ensure that our graduates meet industry demands.<\/li>\n
  5. Data Base program<\/strong>
    \nThe Career and placement Office will create database of our Graduates, Students,
    \nOJT Partners and Industry Partners for easy monitoring and updating of its records.<\/li>\n
  6. Monitoring and Evaluation of the Career and Placement Programs<\/strong>
    \nThis will help the Career and
    \nPlacement Office to monitor the effectivity of its program through surveys, interviews and feedback forms.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Standard Procedures for Job Postings<\/h3>\n
      \n
    1. The company or Offices who would like to have a Job Posting should submit the following Requirements:\n
        \n
      1. Letter of Intent address to the Director of the Career and Placement Office<\/li>\n
      2. Company Profile<\/li>\n
      3. SEC Registration (1st Page) or any government issued permits<\/li>\n
      4. Job Posting materials with complete contact details.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      5. The approved documents will be posted on the Career and Placement Bulletin Board and other departmental bulletin boards.<\/li>\n
      6. The Career and Placement Office (CPO) will email or forward job posting to all respective heads for information dissemination.<\/li>\n
      7. Every end of the term the CPO will evaluate through:\n
          \n
        1. Phone call inquiries to the companies who ads were posted<\/li>\n
        2. The students who asked for referrals.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
