The PWU Career Development and Continuing Education Center (CDCEC), established in 1978, was created to meet the growing demand for specialized skills and professional development. Guided by the principle of lifelong learning, CDCEC offers diverse programs designed to equip individuals with practical knowledge, technical expertise, and a forward-thinking mindset, preparing them for the evolving demands of both local and global industries.
Initially focused on non-degree courses, CDCEC catered to PWU students, alumni, faculty, and a broader audience from government, industry, civic institutions, and community groups. Its programs combine lectures, workshops, and hands-on training to provide participants with the tools and strategies needed to succeed in their chosen fields. With an emphasis on flexibility, collaboration, and critical thinking, CDCEC fosters a dynamic learning environment that inspires innovation.
In 1999, the Multi-Location Program was launched to expand CDCEC’s reach nationwide, making quality education accessible to individuals in key provinces through partnerships with private entities and organizations. This initiative ensures that students unable to travel to Manila can still benefit from PWU’s educational excellence.
Today, CDCEC continues to grow, offering an expanding range of programs and reaching more communities across the Philippines. This ongoing commitment reflects PWU’s dedication to empowering individuals and addressing the ever-changing needs of the global workforce.
