Jomar Galutera's White Elephant Project contemplates the enduring legacies of authoritarian rule in the remnants of fascist architectural projects. Grandiose structures remain in the imagination of a nation–reforming truths and struggles, and manipulating them to recreate a mythical resplendent past. Evoking posters pasted on the streets, the blown-up reproductions of imposing spaces elicit contemplation of where we are and the decay we are forced to live with.
