Going for Gold in Maths

Kristofer Caleb J. Casupang, a Grade 4 JASMS QC student brought home the Gold Medal not once but twice in two recent international competitions. He won a Gold Medal as a member of the Philippine Team at the 2019 World Mathematics Invitational (WMI) held in Fukouka, Japan on July 15-19, 2019. Then a week later, he “performed very well at the Vanda Science Global Finals held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia” and won a Gold Medal in the Individual Round according to Rechilda P. Villame, president of the Asian MathSci League (AMSLI). PWU president Mr. Marco Benitez congratulated Caleb for his double victory for bringing honor not only to his family and school but for the Philippines as well. JASMS is the basic education department of the Philippine Women’s University.
