The guidelines on the intensity of typhoons (signal nos. 1 to 3) issued by Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical Service Administration (PAGASA) that automatically cancel classes and subsequent announcements made by the Department of Education will be strictly enforced, as follows:

In cases of sudden floods without typhoon signal warnings from PAGASA and unforeseen events necessitating the cancellation of classes and holding of offices, the official PWU announcement will come from the Office of the President thru the VP for Academic Affairs, VP for Administration and VP for Extrernal Affairs.
The PWU Facebook, Twitter, Smart Infoboard and the media (radio and television) will be used in communicating the announcements aside from the in-house network of offices and departments.
