The Philippine Women’s University is offering a pioneering program, Master of Science in Health Systems Management under its Cluster of Health Sciences.
The program which is open to allied health professionals including those in business and liberal arts, prepares them on procedures, protocol and management information systems, as well enhances their skills on policy development, regulations and quality assurance for effective health care management.
The emerging developments in treatment delivering which calls for a consolidated and collaborative efforts of an integrated, more responsive and managed health care system has made the need of health care managers imperative.
“This program,” PWU President Dr. Amelou B. Reyes said,” will academically prepare the allied health professionals for a career as future health care managers in hospices, clinics, correctional institutions and community-based health care centers.
Chancellor Dr. Dolores Lasan further stated that the newly developed curriculum provides practitioners the opportunity to build on their leadership and management abilities, critical thinking skills, problem solving techniques in managing health care programs in different institutional settings.
