85th PWU Baccalaureate rites set
The 85th Baccalaureate ceremonies of the Philippine Women’s University will
be held on April 10 , 4:00 pm at the Bayanihan Paseo, Taft campus, Manila
with Rev. Antonio Ledesma, archbishop of Cagayan de Oro as main celebrant,
assisted by university chaplain Msgr. Hernando Coronel.
Chancellor Dr. Dolores Lasan will give the opening remarks, followed by the
investitture ceremony led by the deans of the various clusters from Taft and
Quezon City campuses.
Over 900 graduating students are taking part in the investiture participated
by their respective parents. A special message will be delivered by
Chairperson Dr. Helena Z Benitez.
The bequeathal of responsibility will be executed by graduating student leaders
Paula Peralta and Jennifer Soriano who will hand over the symbols of office
to Mary Joy de la Cruz and Hanzel Allan Estrada. Honor graduate Andrew Rico
Domasian will lead the salute to Alma Mater.
The PWU President Dr. Amelou B. Reyes will give her message and present the
association medals to Irish Kishan, April Abina, Joel Monterroyo, Mark Anthony
Dumadag, Yance de los Reyes and Olive Faith Ocampo.
Some 25 students are recipients of the Loyalty Award to be given by Chancellor
Lasan, assisted by Registrars Lilia Robosa and Arlene Mantiles.
Leading the induction to Alumni Association and presentation of garlands to parent
are Geraldine T. Osias and Olivia M. Villafuerte, respectively.
This year’s chairperson of the Baccalaureate Committee is Dean Dr. Ligaya Braganza
assisted by Jess Dandoy as co-chairperson.
