Level Offerings
The school offers General Secondary Curriculum:
PWU High School follows the curriculum prescribed by DepEd for all
year levels incorporating BEC changes in content and sequence.
Innovation comes in the form of enriching and updating of content
reflecting the following:
- New and contemporary issues like women in development,
peace, environment education, national and international
socio-economic and political scenarios and new development in
science and technology.
- A re-structured Home Economics program which includes technical skills. Cafeteria Management is offered in Senior year where students operate and manage the Lunchroom.
- An expanded co-curricular program responsive to the interest and needs of the students.
- Enrichment Classes are offerings which are subject related. They are for remediation, development, improvement, enhancement advancement.
CO-CURRICULAR PROGRAM
The co-curricular program its categorized as follows::
- Off-campus - participation in contests, symposia, exhibits, clubs, campus, religious activities, etc. sponsored by civic organization, NGO's professional or business association.
- In-campus - are referred to as activities sponsored by clubs, organizations. All students are required to sign up membership in one Sports enrichment class.
Objectives
- To enhance and reinforce academic skills.
- To develop consciousness and sensitivity to civic and social responsibilities towards others.
- To provide opportunities to develop talents and interest that may lead to livelihood skills.
- To develop sportsmanship, leadership and organizational skills.
