What is ETEEAP?
ETEEAP (Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation
Program) provides an access to earn a college degree through equivalency
and accreditation of prior learning of applicants from work experiences-formal
and informal training, for the courses AB Communication Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, and
Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
DEGREE PROGRAMS DEPUTIZED BY CHED TO OFFER THRU ETEEAP
Step 1. Admission and Screening Procedure: To qualify, the applicant must meet the requirements as set in the systems and procedures of at least 25 years old and with 5 or more years of work experience in any companies related to the course/program and competencies required. The applicant must also show that he or she is employed at the time of application and must have undergone enough exposures/experiences in different areas required of the curriculum for a particular program applied for.
The following are the activities undertaken toward determining if the applicant qualifies in the program:
Step 2. Registration
Knowing all the requirements needed and the procedures the applicant has to undergo, registration is required to officially enroll in the program. The applicant must undergo procedures required by the University - from the Registrar's Office to Accounting and Students' Services.
Step 3. Initial Assessment
Upon submission of all documents required in the workplace, including TOR (Transcript of Records from previous college or university), the applicant will undergo Initial Assessment and Validation of competencies, knowledge or skills gained through an oral examination, written exams, or hands-on. Results of these are written in the Form provided "Result of Initial Assessment" (see Appendix). Recommendations to undergo Enhancements are provided by the evaluators as recommendations. Step 4. Provision for a Performance Portfolio
As a result of the Initial Assessment and Validation, the Office will now summarize and prepare a Portfolio of Students' Performance with corresponding Enhancement Strategies. The student determines and chooses the enhancement strategy appropriate and acceptable based on his/her resources (refer to Appendix for the Form). A copy is provided to the student so that he/she can monitor his/her performance.
Step 5. Enhancement
Student chooses a strategy to enhance his/her skills, knowledge & competencies thru the guidance of the Office and faculty expert, as follows:
Step 6. Final Evaluation after undergoing enhancement, the student submits for final evaluation through:
Upon passing in all Final Assessments and all requirements , a Summary of Ratings will be prepared, signed by the Dean of the School. Finally, all documents will then be submitted to the University Registrar for inclusion in the list of Graduating Students.
